The Moody Foodie

Hi there I'm Zoe, working on my healthy gluten free vegan lifestyle! Feminist and happily taken! I eat what I want and I won't apologize for it. This used to be 40lbfitness but I decided I don't need to lose 40lbs so now this is my food blog!
I want to go into culinary arts and eventually open a vegan food spot! Enjoy the space and drop me a line or submission!

Dazey: Your cold black feet

daazedlyffe:

Your cold black feet

with my blackened lungs and hardened heart he took me to the river
And he said, it’s too cold outside for one of us to be alone
So with a soft spoken touch and a firm steady grip he showed me where all the good in people goes,

Blender-Free Strawberry Banana Sorbet
1 medium Banana
4 medium Strawberries
While still in peel, lightly roll banana on counter top to soften it up. Cut one end of banana off and carefully squeeze contents into a plastic sandwich bag. Cut up 4 strawberries, removing leaves, and place in bag. Close bag and squish contents until contents are mixed to your liking. Cut corner off of bag and squeeze into a freezer-safe container (I like to use a rinsed out small Chobani yogurt cup). Cover with saran wrap and a rubber band. Put in freezer and wait for contents to firm. Enjoy.
Nutritional Content: (<1g fat, 32.5g carbs, 1.75g protein, ~128 calories)

Will be doing this in a few minutes.

Vegan Banana Cinnamon French Toast
Adapted from Veg Web
Ingredients:
2 Large Bananas (sliced)
2/3 cup Vanilla Almond Milk
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tbsp Hemp Hearts (optional)
Ezikiel Bread (as many slices needed)
Olive Oil (for pan)
How To:
Heat a pan at a medium temperature & grease with some olive oil. In a blender blend bananas, vanilla almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and hemp hearts until you reach a liquid texture. Pour batter into bowl. Soak slices of Ezikiel Bread in the batter. Make sure bread is fully coated and place slices onto heated & greased pan. Cook at medium heat until bread is cooked and no longer soggy. (It may take a while too cook, but don’t turn up the heat or else you’ll burn the outside and have a soggy inside.)
Once bread is cooked and cooled, I like to top it with berries, hemp hearts & a little Pure Maple Syrup! Enjoy! :)
